Coronavirus in Kenya

The first case of coronavirus was confirmed in Kenya in Kenya on 13 March 2020. Since then, the country continues to battle the COVID 19 pandemic with cases steadily rising each day.

100 days (June 21, 2020) since the first case, there are now 4,738 cases with the disease affecting 40 counties. The number of people also tested have also hit 140,012 over the hundred days.

According to the country’s Minister of Health, there are indications that the virus is going to be around for a while.

COVID 19 has badly impacted the economy including loss of jobs. It has also affected the mental health of many Kenyan.
